Next   on   the  main   road   is   Rya Taza (formerly Ghondaksaz), the latter a Yezidi village with a ruined 10-13th c. church and a cemetery with zoomorphic (animal shaped) tombstones. Rya Taza ("New Way") gives  its  name  to  a  Kurdish newspaper and other cultural activities.

   Turning    left   from   Rya   Taza   and taking E, the road leads to Shenkani (till 1978 Kroyigegh or Kyorbulagh).
