Left from  the  road  is  the  village  of Tsaghkahovit (till 1946 Haji Khalil). The latter has substantial Late Bronze Age (ca. 1100) through Urartian remains on the hill to the E, the Kalachi Amrots castle. A joint team of U.S. and Armenian archaeologists has begun excavation of  the   fortress atop the hill, the houses spread out to the   S   and   the   cemeteries   nearby.

   Next, just on the  road,  is  the  Yezidi village of Amre Taza (till 1978 Karavansara).

There is  a  modern  Grigor  Lusavorich  church  in  the village.
