  •    Ashotsk Cheese Plant is one of the biggest milk processing factories  in Armenia. It is located in the North of the country in a remote Musaelyan Village, Shirak Region. The dairy was established in 1973 and it offers a choice of excellent Armenian and European cheeses.

  •    The plant was significantly damaged during the  destructive  earthquake of 1988 in Shirak Region. Later it was rebuilt and privatized in 1996 by Mr. Georgy Baghdasaryan.

  •    The competent and qualified staff of 20 people  annually  processes  800 tonnes of milk and produces 100 tonnes of cheeses. They continue the old traditions of cheesemaking and in the meantime enhance it with new technologies.

  •    In the assortment of this plant there is something  to  satisfy  everyone’s taste-from traditional Armenian cheeses, to the finest of European cheeses. Today the company produces Swiss Emmental, Blue cheese, Lori and Chanakh traditional salty cheeses. During the last year, Ashotsk Cheese Plant has produced 80 tonnes of Lori, 12 tonnes of Swiss Emmental, and 2 tonnes of Roquefort type cheese.

  •    The   rich   creamy   taste   of   cheeses   offered   by    the    company    is characterized by the presence of high quality pure milk, supplied by around 600 farms of the region. The company constantly works on developing new cheese varieties.
