20th c. mining town of
Kajaran
(once Gejevan) is famous for the massive
copper-molybdenum mine, which is still in operation. It is impressive to drive up to the mine and see the trucks, tiny
in comparison to the pit, dumping ore into an elaborate system of conveyers.
