is the end of the road, travel into Azerbaijan
blocked by an impromptu barricade and cautionary whistles from
the locals. |

road turns S up toward Aigehovit and
the Shamsadin district.
Aigehovit
(until 1969 Uzuntala) has Srveghi
Vank of the 12-13th c. on the skyline SW of the village,
with an inscription:
“In the year 1252 we Artavazd and Sargis built this
church by the hand of master
Hovhannes.” |
